1st Edition. First Printing in 1908. Painted by watercolor artist Ella Du Cane and described by her sister Florence Du Cane. Bound in light green cloth with title and artist in gilt on the front cover. Top edges bright gilt. The binding is shaken, but the text block is still firm. There is light foxing throughout the book and the text and illustrations are generally clean and unmarked. There are fifty beautiful and exotic plates with identifications on tissue guards. Queen Victoria acquired many of the Du Cane watercolors.
