Painter John Fulleylove originally trained as an architect, but went on to specialize in oils and watercolor. He became Vice President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolors in 1906. He would go on to illustrate seven A. and C. Black publications. His original works hang in the V & A in London, the Ashmolean Musuem, Oxford, as well as in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, among others. The versatile and prolific author Ascott Robert Hope Moncrieff,  wrote about 200 works, including fiction, many editions of travel guides, geography and other non-fiction topics.
